Hello All:
In the ancient medical text written by the physician HuangTi ( whoo-wang D) he stresses the importance of movement as a way to unstick stagnant chi(chee) , life force, around the body. Movement offers ways for the circulation of chi to improve and get unstuck from the stuck places in the body. Once chi is moving, it acts like water, following pathways that will enhance the overall health of the body, and reduce inflammatory responses to chi that does not serve. The laws of quantum physics states the same principles, whereby movement creates change, and change and transformation of energy creates possibilities for something better to occur. Since 1993, when I was DX with Lupus, I have studied the art, theory and science of movement, mostly in the form of Qigong ( chee-gung), a medicinal approach to circulating the life force in a healthy and powerful way. This practice has also increased my stamina, especially on those days when the lupus fatigue feels overwhelming. A few of you have inquired as to the things that I do to keep the wolf at bay, and Qigong is definitely one of the pieces of medicine that I use daily.
The practice of Qigong is a gentle and profound method of movement. It is beautiful in its history, and even more amazing in the accurate nature of its organic influence on a body, mind and soul. It is important, if you should want to begin a Qigong study, that you have a physical teacher. Corrections and philosophy regarding this system of medicine are paramount to practicing. I encourage you to move, be moved, and remember that movement=health. Stagnation in body, thought or deed, will only produce the same outcomes. See yourself moving in the body and the body moving you.
two hands together in a deep bow of gratitude to you all for being on the healing path...
BE Well,
LONE WOLF

Of course, if you practice alittle bit each day, you will build your stamina and feel better in so many ways. I too suffer from fatigue. The Qigong helps me with that, also provides a gentleness towards myself when I am not feeling well or strong. So happy that you tried this! Be Well,
