First, THANKS TO ALL who gave me birthday greetings, they really brought me smiles!

Last week I had a bad fall. My whole body weight fell on my neck and back of my head, legs in the air. I fell from ceiling height. I have a slight concussion and pretty painful spine, but I'll put up with that, just being grateful that it wasn't worse. The way I fell, I seriously could have broken my neck and fractured my skull. I have seen so many who are paralyzed from smaller falls than what I had. I've been thanking God all week, so grateful I didn't get hurt worse, and each day, my pain and internal problems were progressing. Today I finally figured out that this is inflammation! Every part of my body that was jarred, or got a whiplash type injury, even my brain, which was bounced around pretty good in my skull, they are all having inflammation! This pain is worse than the injury! Again I AM VERY FRUSTIPATED!! (It's a Sheila word. lol) . Man, thought I got away without serious injury, then lupus steps in and makes me so much worse.

My chiropractor came to the house. He was shocked that it didn't even put a vertebrae out of place, I just got a bad "bone bruise" on my upper back/lower neck, and may have pulled/strained/sprained the muscles and tendons involved. Now it all hurts so much worse. What a crazy illness this is!!

I LOVE MY DICLOFENAC CREAM!!! Prescription, and wow it has helped SO much pain through the years. I would urge everyone to ask their Dr. for a prescription for this diclofenac 10% cream. No smell. Your pharmacist makes it up for you. They pass it out on the orthopedics floor here, and each of those people get it refilled forever after, so I bet the pharmacies here make it by the bucket. lol.

Note: If there is no way to get the prescrption cream, Voltaren Emulgel is the same chemical, but in a much weaker strength for over the counter. Many that I have talked to  say that even that strength helps them.

Well, just had to vent my FRUSTIPATION!. Thanks for reading.

Hi NuDirection. Sorry you also fell!! I should post an update., but I thought I said this somewhere already. Lupus hahs been causing inflammation in every fiber that got jarred or hit or moved around in some way. Yup, like a truck hit. Such a freaky weird disease!

Hope you'll heal quickly,

Sheila

Hi Sheila,

So glad to hear that you are doing well all things considered.  I unfortunately fell today and injured my left side trying to avoid knocking over my grandson.  Needless to say the initial fall wasn't as bad as I feel right now, so seeing this helps me understand why I feel like I just got hit by a bus.  Anyway, I hope that you continue to feel better as I understand your need to vent.

Oh Suzie, I am so sorry for your suffering. Thank you for sharing yourself here despite your struggles. Mom's better, thanks, and it happened quite suddenly just as I got too sick to wait on her. I see God's hand in that. yes it was a good birthday, thanks so much.

Gentle hugs, Sheila

Hi Sheila, Falling is the WORST~ Ur adrenaline pumps, u get up, u say OUCH~ Then after a day or so, BAMMM< It hits u like a ton of bricks! It is the absolute worst, and even more so, when Lupus is involved, cause as u said, the good ol' INFLAMMATION that attacks every inch of our bodies sets in ten fold! Boy, I have been here, it STINKS & I Love ur word, Frustipated....Good One, ;).....Anyways, thank the good Lord, u were not seriously injured, u are right, it could've been very serious! So even though the aftermath is difficult & painful, u have to be thankful.....I hope the pain subsides, and u stay 2 feet on the floor from now on....I hope ur birthday was a good one.....as good as can be, feeling miserable...but we must be thankful  when each 1 comes, right!!? I will have to look into that cream, sounds very good, never heard of it...I will TTYS~~ Be Well & Feel Better my friend!! Happy Birthday & MANY MORE~~ {{HUGS}} Suzie :0) P.s. How is ur Mom doing? Haven't asked u in awhile?? I hope she is doing ok....:)
